Auroville Electrical Service is the internal electricity service unit of Auroville, which was established in 1975. Auroville Electrical Service takes care of electrical installation, operation and maintenance work and is also the one-point contact for the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) on behalf of Auroville.
